Ferme de la Chaux - GAEC du Bois Joli
4 km from Saint-Nectaire and Murol, 10 km from Besse (on route D146) There are 3 ways to reach the site : from St-Nectaire (5 min) or the road to Besse at Champeix (D978) or the road to Besse at Murol (D50). Visit of the production unit of St-Nectaire « fermier » (farmhouse variety) and tasting (guided tour of the barn and cheese making unit, documentary in French on cheese making). During school holidays from Monday to Friday the visit starts at 6pm. Week-ends, Bank holidays and outside school holidays : by appointment Groups : by appointment Sales of all 5 Auvergne PDO cheeses and other regional specialties all year round from 8 to 12 am and from 2 to 7:30 pm, Sundays from 10 to 12 am and from 5:30 to 7 pm.
